Privacy policy
FitsMyGarage collects as little as it can, and none of it identifies you.

The short version
- There are no accounts, sign-ups or forms, so we never ask for your name, email or address.
- Your garage layout is saved in your own browser. It is not sent to us.
- We count visits with cookie-free analytics that do not identify you.
- When you follow a link to a retailer, that retailer's own privacy policy applies from then on.
Your garage layout
The planner saves your room, the units in it and their colors in your browser's local storage, so a refresh does not lose your work. It stays on your device; we never receive it. Clearing your browser's site data, or the planner's “Clear layout”, deletes it. If you use “Copy link”, the layout is written into the link itself, and anyone you share the link with can see it.
Analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they read. It records page views, the site that referred you, and general information such as your country, browser and device type. It does not use cookies, and it does not build a profile of you or follow you to other sites; visits are grouped using a short-lived value that is discarded within a day.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel processes technical information such as your IP address in order to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse; we do not use it to identify you.
Links to retailers
Product pages and the planner link to retailers' own product pages. Some of these links are, or may become, affiliate links (see the affiliate disclosure): the retailer or its affiliate network may then set its own cookie on its own site so that a purchase can be credited to us. That happens under the retailer's privacy policy, not ours.
Advertising
The site shows no advertising. If that changes, this policy will be updated first to say who serves the ads and what they collect.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If what the site collects changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top says when.
